Attractive pub, directly adjacent to the Broads, I can’t comment on restaurant side.
The staff were welcoming and efficient and the pub had a nice feel.
Plenty of seating, in a variety of open dining hall style to snug bar, shared car park which was a bit manic and challenging for pedestrians. Can’t comment on food but it looked well presented. Ale choice was uninspiring and didn’t warrant a second.

Given that rating anything is a subjective issue - our room was very clean & comfortable on both occasions and had a good view across the pub car park to the river. On both days our room had been thoroughly cleaned & made up, including replacing toiletries etc. which is not always the case in some places. The en-suite shower-room was very good and very clean. Plenty of hot water & good shower. Just two small steps up from the room which we were conscious of at night for the obligatory trip! The three stars is simply because it is an old building, & the room we have had twice is a three star room - no lift - fairly steep stairs for arthritic hips - and the unavoidable tiredness that comes with old decoration. Plus the fact that there is no sound proofing so we were woken on the first morning at around 6ish with enthusiastic noises from below as the early morning round of cleaning and prep began in the bar below. We were grateful that the occupant next door was quiet overnight - even if they did exit very early both days. So that's the room.
Food was excellent [Pizzas on the first night] and the breakfast very well cooked both days.
Friendly staff and a lovely location by the river. May well return again. Booking required to guarantee tables.

Lovely pint of Doom Bar and a tasty pizza lunch (12” prosciutto/mushroom). Staff so friendly, great location (and the sun was shining). Def recommended 👍

Fantastic service and food had at The Rising Sun. A busy but well managed restaurant, everything was spot on and any queries actioned immediately.
We will be adding it to our favourites and will be back at any opportunity

The Rising Sun Pub—what can I say? This is probably the best pub ever! The food is excellent, the drinks are top-notch, but what truly sets this place apart is the staff and the exceptional service. A special thanks to Andy, the manager, who goes above and beyond to make every visit memorable. Highly recommend!
